Bata (Comuna Bata)
Bata (Batta) is a commune in Arad County, Romania, in the historical region of Banat. The commune lies in the contact zone of the Lipovei Plateau and the large deep valley of the Mureș River, respectively in the Brănișca-Păuliș Couloir. It is composed of four villages: Bacău de Mijloc (Bakamező), Bata (situated at 67 km from Arad), Bulci (Bulcs) and Țela (Cella).
According to the last census the population of the commune counts 1226 inhabitants. From an ethnical point of view it has the following structure: 99.6% are Romanians, 0.2% Hungarians and 0.2% are of other or undeclared nationalities.
